About Shelf Life with Michelle

Michelle MalletteI am an information professional (in other words, a librarian) working in a Canadian public library. My career has focused on children’s and young adult services, including teaching library technician classes on literature for children and young adults. As a result I work hard to stay current in the field. My goal with this blog is in part to share my joy of reading, and also to keep track of the books I’ve read – what I liked, what I loved, and what isn’t worth re-reading. My work with youth means you’ll find lots of books aimed at younger readers, but also a good selection of sci-fi, road trip novels, general literature and nonfiction for adults as well, along with what I can only describe as oddities. Enjoy, and please, share your opinions!

Hi, Michelle! I work for Greenleaf Book Group and you reviewed one of our middle-grade books, Travels with Gannon & Wyatt, and we’d love to use a quote from you in the book trailer. Could you please contact me? Thanks!
